2014 Resolutions...

...how about more creativity in your life?

This "resolution" thing may be a tiresome topic already. I know. I kind of dread the word itself regardless of it's association, but I'm going to talk about it anyway.

Of all the New Year's resolutions to "loose weight", "eat healthier", or "be more organized" (all very beneficial, don't get me wrong) but how about resolving to enrich your life? Not something to be taken away or to feel badly about not achieving but instead something to gain. Some nourishment for the soul. Rewarding yourself with devoting a little bit of time & energy to adding some form of creative endeavour into your life. In some way, to some degree. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Pablo Picasso once said "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."

So true.
Creativity comes in many forms and changes over time depending on our interests and abilities. So whether it's painting, sewing, writing, design or beading, whatever feeds your soul and transports you to a happy, positive place, do it. Let's resolve to pay attention to our creativity, listen and act.

This year I know I will - even if it's just a little bit.
